@miguelgrinberg I see your point, makes sense. I agree disclosure would help.
One data point you might want to take a look at for your article is searching for "LLM" and specific tool names in issues and PRs. It's mostly core developers asking people not to use these tools as they're using them. But there are a couple of cases of contributors disclosing that analysis or coding was made or helped by such a tool.

@danzin My impression is that core developers are trying to have it both ways. I recognize that openly saying that the project accepts generative AI PRs is probably not what they want due to slop PRs. But I think it is unfair to hide that they are using it themselves. How spread is this? I'd really like to know now.
