"No upper bound on tokens; probably a lower bound that gets you a talking-to in a couple months, I imagine, if you’re short of it. Weird."
i'm hearing this story a lot. some companies are pushing harder than others and i've met at least a couple developers who seem like they're at the psychological breaking point because upper management is demanding 200+ person engineering orgs transform themselves into 10x slop factories in a matter of months. the crazy thing is that these companies have *good products with solid revenue models already* ... they're going to burn themselves to the ground.
the fact that i don't often hear "yeah, we use it, but we use it to become more efficient/acute/effective by focusing on the hard stuff" very often tells me a lot about how well these software companies were managed in the first place.
