@kaidenshi I switched to Gentoo recently, and the compile times... don't bother me as much as I expected they would? Took a full 2 days to install, and a lot of software takes 20+ minutes to install, but... it's fine? I can just let it do its thing while I do something else. Computers being slow is fine, as it turns out
