Not cheaper than a used washer though. Plus you have to take into account the wear on the rest of the machine. It only take a couple of expensive repairs and then you paid for you to have paid the cost of a new washer and now you have created a money pit of an appliance. Same thing with cars, yes you can repair it forever, but eventually it's not worth it
