@MHowell @raiderrobert @pluralistic The app for my Honda just lost features unless I pay for them after working fine for years. Thankfully I don’t need those features. Not looking forward to buying a car in the future when every car manufacturer is openly hostile to its users. Maybe I’ll just move somewhere with good public transport and not own a car. Seems like the only real option. Like in War Games, the only way to win is to not play.

@jeff @MHowell @raiderrobert @pluralistic Every time I read about new cars I am thankful I live on transit and depend on my bike. I did get an e cargo bike last year though and I am hoping it'll be a while before the bike makers decide to enshittify.

@jeff @MHowell @raiderrobert @pluralistic It's the same with telemarketers. If you answer a SPAMcall and yell, you're playing their game. Unless you can somehow reach through the phone a dox them down to their SSN and what they paid in taxes, you'd best just not answer the phone.
