@publius@mastodon.sdf.org let's agree that this time it lasted a bit more than 2-3 years. :) I switched because I could not get to scale a 4k display in X. Only in ways were ugly or slow. I only vaguely know the basics of Wayland vs X11, but... If it's solving problems that I have, I consider switching (and yes, it added other problems. So.. Yeah...)

@publius@mastodon.sdf.org wait, really? I've been considering switching from i3 to sway. The real reason for changing anything at all, is that when I set up this system 5 years ago I just took the archinstall defaults... Including btrfs instead of ext4. It works, but needs more maintenance than I want to give it. Also... Not sure it's great for performance on a desktop system. Anyway, thanks for helping me rubber duck this.. I know what to do now :-) (Switch to ext4 but keep i3. It works, don't mess with it.)
