Probably the most surprising thing in the John Higgs Who book: in Troughton's era, they nearly made a story set in a future where women (!) had dictatorial control. The enforcers were Dolly Guards and Jamie would have disguised himself as one in leather microskirt and matching top. Zoe would have got brainwashed into thinking women were superior and at the end of the final episode, the Doctor would have spanked her to cure her of this notion. They got as far as making sets and costumes for this!
