@finnmyrstad @pluralistic The video itself is pretty shitty. How it "informs" about enshittification without even using the c-word (capitalism) makes me wonder: is this a conscious decision (if so: what's the rationale behind it?) or a lack of consciousness?

@torstentorsten Remember monarchy? Removing the right of villagers to hunt in the nearby forest? Enshittification. Just slower. Turning former yeomen (free farmers) into serfs on their formerly self-owned land? Enshittification. You don’t need capitalism to enshittify. @torstentorsten @finnmyrstad @pluralistic The remit of the Forbrukerråd is to help Norwegian consumers with problems they experience when purchasing/leasing goods and services from companies. Their remit does not extend to recommending one or another type of economic system. With this video the Forbrukerråd has given (Norwegian) consumers a word to hang their frustrations on when they encounter yet another example of #enshittification in their digital lives. Which is the point of this video.

Having watched the video a 2nd time, I think it does more harm than good. e.g. What does it suggest that this guy is from a long line of enshittificators? That enshittification happend in Neolithic? Or out of the blue? - Disappointing! One subscription less!
