@luatic@mastodon.social @gintoxicating@transister.social I guess LibreOffice web version project was abandoned for a while, got partially-resurrected recently. Might have been a better project to collaborate on indeed. But that's from info snippets I've spotted, not quite an investigation.

@ONLYOFFICE@fosstodon.org @luatic@mastodon.social i’m really guessing here but at least people theorized onlyoffice was better built for an online office suite (as opposed to app based) Looking at the LibreOffice site very quickly that seems relatively likely - the site seems focused on client software at a first glance Collabora seems based on Libre and is online focused and might have made a reasonable base. But maybe since it’s built on top of Libre a primarily installable software they felt OnlyOffice was a more apt foundation. I’m really just guessing though.
