@rl_dane@polymaths.social TBH i haven't researched this topic further -- just noticed in boot message that hw.smt is deprecated and hw.blockcpu would have to be used instead.
but yes, hw.smt is off by default, while hw.blockcpu would have to be set. maybe installer does this by default?
i also liked how hw.smtp worked
