I just found out that the Terraform Registry protocol is pretty simple and composed of "static" JSON responses, and files queried with the GET method. https://developer.hashicorp.com/terraform/internals/provider-registry-protocol I see absolutely no reason not to generate these statically and host them on @Codeberg Pages. https://docs.codeberg.org/codeberg-pages/ This would allow us to host our Terraform/OpenTofu providers on registries that are NOT tied in any way shape or form to GitHub like the official Terraform and OpenTofu registries are.
