@ dear libraries, afaik you can't claim a new copyright just for scanning a document that's been in the public domain for aeons.
i mean it's common courtesy to mention where i've seen the document anyway, so i'll mention you! but demanding that i now also slap an incorrect creative commons license link onto everything is so absurd.
we're talking about 1700s and 1800s public documents, and they're categorising them into non-PD CCs (and inconsistently).
