RE: https://infosec.exchange/@beyondmachines1/116387660407026805 This is really rubber ducking and it should serve as a reminder that there is a lot of history and a lot of writing about good software development practices that we are leaving on the floor b/c we have a bright new shiny object to play with. Big Balls of Mud should be something else people should remind themselves of.

    @shafik@hachyderm.io For the last 10 years or so, I maintained a work diary on the web that is company-wide readable. It's not full of emoting, but C++ tips, puzzlement about protobuf errors, analysis of kernel errors, etc. So many times while writing up a day's entry, I figured something out. No one in their right mind would care to read the by now thousands of pages, but grepping it is great. I made it public on the corporate intranet so others found it in web searches.
