Feeling better about things, lately. Even though I still have no income and probably won’t for a while, I’m working once again towards trying to build something for myself, and that feeling of having something to work towards is saving my life right now. I have many constraints working against me, too many to list. But I can forget them when I’m busy in The Zone working towards my goals, and that sense of empowerment is addictive. Lately I’ve been watching videos of amazing people around the world making beautiful paintings by holding the paintbrush with their teeth, or their feet, and their diligence reminds me that I can keep going, even with arthritis, even with failing eyes, even at the end of empire. The important thing is that I keep trying. I know first hand that life often gets in the way and plans can be easily derailed and upended, so it’s okay with me if I fail at this, as long as I try. 💪
