With agentic ai, maybe we have to refuse the question on whether 'who is accountable?', but rather frame it as 'who benefits from unaccountability?'
Just as the 'invisible hand of the market', liability should be anchored on profit extraction instead of individual harm instances.

@reiayanami The number of accidents, injuries, and deaths substantially influenced by systemic effects should point us in that direction. It's nice to say that poor risk management or poor training or umderstaffing or deferred maintenance were contributing factors but we draw the line at what led to those contributing factors. Sometimes ignorance and incompetence, many times financial. "Enhancing shareholder value..."
