https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cn897e8280do What to make of this purile hyperbole? "Carnage" is descriptive of slaughter & massacre. Not travel delay & disruption. The implicit effort, in the manner of reporting, to blackguard Easyjet, & the EU, adds self-delusion to the misdirected outrage. We VOTED (collectively) for this. And for those who voted to Remain, with (now) the many who abstained owing perhaps to uncertainty as to the consequences, the entire stolen decade has been the "nightmare". #RejoinEU

@RejoinEU@mastodon.online actually getting fucking tired of these angles, both yours and the one in the article. It is the EU's prerogative to implement border controls and restrictions however they like. But it is also their responsibility to implement it properly and make sure that legitimate travellers can board their flights, as every other part of the world does. It is not in any way the 'fault' of anyone in the UK that this happened.

@RejoinEU@mastodon.online White people being treated as "suspect until proven otherwise" to the point they miss their flight is "a nightmare" but frontex killing actual brown people at the borders for decades, no one gives a fuck 🤡

@RejoinEU@mastodon.online my exact thoughts on reading about this were "how many of those folk caught up in the queues voted *for* Brexit?" Here in East Anglia many are stubborn enough to put up with all the hardships and *still* feel they did the right thing (if that wasn't the case, Reform would still be a fringe party rather than second or third in many areas)
