I lived for years limited to similar speeds, you are hilariously wrong. That's 240p YouTube, most of the time. Sometimes it won't load 240. Most downloads through a browser will fail outright. You can download something, have that download saturate your entire internet and knock you offline. Anything autoplaying is aids. If someone messages you a link with a thumbnail you've just been DoSd, not DDoS because it only takes one person to kick you offline.

    If you're out of data, don't stream video. If you're out of data, don't download big files. If you're out of data, don't use websites with a lot of data (such as autoplaying videos), without a plugin or something to minimize it. If your chat can break your entire 400 k connection just by sending you a link, you should probably look at using some other software. Although of course that's hard, if your friend aren't willing to follow.
