> 400kbps would be slow as hell, for all of those use cases. I did those things just fine on my first internet connection, which was 14.4k. When I upgraded to 54k, it was blazingly fast. Remember we are not talking about modern comfort, we are talking a connection that is out of data. It's okay to be annoyed.
