Huh, the ATProto/Bluesky folks have gone full Web3 and built payment stuff into their protocol. I'm sure this'll work out, since we all know Web3 is going great!

@wordshaper its not even blockchain or actually decentralized, its just "service says user completed payment" in an open API. I don't see how this is like Web3 at all.
