I fail to get myself excited for recent space developments, for a number of reasons.
... However, this kind of comparisons are pure poison. If we cannot take something good (at least in principle) and evaluate it objectively for what it is, then what's the point in doing anything? It's a sad, miserable life if nothing good can exist without being contrasted to something else. As if every person involved in an achievement had their work nullified by the crimes of someone else.
What a sad, joyless attitude.

SS-Sturmbannführer Wernher von Braun used slave labor to make the V2 that bombed England for Hitler, & Gemini & Apollo for NASA. 50 years later, Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop-Grumman make Artemis, & planes & missiles we're mass-murdering Iranians with. Exact same people. Same administration. I love our space program, even as slow & expensive as it's been. I loathe all the manufacturers because they're all babykillers. Life's hard.
