Adobe and /etc/hosts being in the news is reminding me of the good old days of cracked installers and ASCII readme files that instructed use of keygens and your own modifications of /etc/hosts to block Adobe phoning home.

@jimniels my last Windows years as user had this part of using legally bought Adobe software that needed crack and hosts change due to f word said by adobe to me... they disabled licence servers so i was unable to reinstall my adobe software without good old piracy tools.
