RE: https://101010.pl/@nazgu1/116396136823927067 Alternative browsers are threaten to apple closed platform as they can implement things like: - WebUSB - allowing webpages to use USB devices - WebMIDI - music devices support - Open codecs (like AV1) - Notifications - Real PWA - allowing developers to create web applications that works like native. At the moment all browsers use WebKit engine developed by Apple, which is, on purpose, stripped with functionalities that compete with native app development.
