Apple is honestly ridiculous with the amount of space that iOS and iPadOS takes up. My father in laws iPad 8th gen (32GB) cannot OTA update to 26.4 because it needs 12.4 GB of free space. It has 10GB available and I cannot delete anything else that would even remotely come close to another 2.5 GB. Forcing me to get out a cable and connect to my MacBook *just* to update is bonkers.
