@lxskllr@mastodon.world @startrek@fedigroups.social I love that podcast in general. I would recommend the whole thing. But yeah... her take is that she was in charge... that it was a feminist story. And I agree with her. I feel like the director maybe took the episode in ways that the script didn't dictate. Anyway. It's a good interview. #AllStarTrek

I think the biggest thing was making them clearly sub Saharan African as portrayed in 1947. It was just a weird choice, and feels like something that would've been done in TOS. #AllStarTrek
