We just hope that the existence of many other alternative roots like OpenNIC can bring more decentralization to the table. But it's not a solved problem at all, unfortauntely!

@dotmeow @ljrk mozilla is too spineless to start embracing things like that thingy that lets you establish encryption over secure dns instead of relying on certificate authorities, for example if the meowser existed in the current day, my wishlist for it would be support for the aforementioned, as well as technologies like i2p and the gemini protocol and such, that can truly democratize the internet :neocat_happy: and also to start defying and abolishing anti-privacy standards like user agent strings and third party cookies
