Obviously, reboot your phone if you haven't already. Try switching to button navigation and back. Maybe turn on enhanced precision/glove mode. There might be a specific setting for screen protectors too.
If all else fails, make a post in the official forum or whatever it is exactly. They're not watching here.

I had swapped to three button mode just after making this post, but swapping back appears to have fixed it. Thanks for the tip!
