Finally listening to this wild record by Canadian experimental band New Age Doom, with guest vocals from the certifiably unhinged HR. It's pretty unsettling -- musically a bit like Oxbow at times, but driven in an even more headspinning direction with the erstwhile Bad Brains vocalist at the wheel. Orchestral dub elements and free jazz sax skronk fill in around the edges, but the core of the record is built around the utterly thundering rhythm section (complimented by members of Quicksand, Pussy Riot, and the keyboard player from David Bowie's BLACKSTAR record.)
