They are cashing in production tax incentives and cooking the books. GM did the same thing 2008 before it all collapsed.
Elon was hoping everyone would just forget his antics.

GM did the same thing 2008 before it all collapsed. Along with financial chicanery, the only part of GM that was profitable was GMAC. Their shitty cars are loss-leaders for a predatory finance operation.
