I am confused my something....
Over the last week or two I've been working on my #WordPress site. I've completely redone my theme (upgraded to the official Twenty Twenty-Five theme), reworked my home page layout, and touched up some articles due to changes in the layout.
Along the way I looked at the newer version of the #ActivityPub plugin. I noticed one of the things that I had started an issue on several years ago had been implemented: the ability to chose a blog-only profile, instead of an account based profile. So I turned that setting on. I also added the Friends plugin to the site (although I am not certain that I want / need it).
So, here's where the issue comes in, and I don't think it's really related to any of the changes I have made. (And, FWIW, this isn't a ploy for me to get people to subscribe to the blog...)
I can see my blog (@unattributed) from this account (gotosocial.social), however I am not able to see it from the #Mastodon instances I am on (mastodon.social and writers.exchange). And, this gets a little more confusing because I can see the old address from mastodon.social, but not from writers.exchange.
I'll include a little table with this message to make it easier to see.
Now, I think I understand why I can still see @gdb from mastodon.social -- it's likely there is still cached copy since I am subscribed to it. But, not being able to find the new address I don't understand. And I don't understand writers.exchange not being able to find the new address...
The only thought I had was maybe they had some entry in their block list(s) that were causing the problem, but I've been through their listings, and didn't see anything tha I thought might be causing the problem.
Can anyone think of what might be causing the problem? Is this specifically a #mastodon issue? Is it specific to these instances? Is there something on one of the #Fediblock lists that might be causing the issue?
