At the very least he's sexually confused enough to write an angry bully who uses violence constantly as a girl and Ralsei as a dickless male, not even counting Undyne and that otaku relationship which is pure tumblr shit, but he does have the rare quality of being actually extremely talented and funny and not willing to tank art in the favor of TRANS RIGHTS spam

His importance is having ship bait and LOLRANDOM humor. Also the writing is on the wall with how hard and radioactive it is to write a trans character because it ends up as fetish fuel or pandering.
