I need to do some profiling and investigation. Loading a JPEG from a network mount and displaying it should not take 5+ seconds.
Sure, it's 375 MB and 1.9 gigapixels. But I'm on a 64c128t CPU with a 100G pipe to the storage cluster. There has to be a way to make this faster.

@azonenberg@ioc.exchange what filesystem does it go over though? transfer speed is one thing, but it the filesystem or the application read in small blocks you will have slowness.
