i/o errors again! ok so it's not the cats brushing up against a super awkward cable, it just sucks i can try giving the usb ports a more thorough cleaning, and swap out the cable again hm, one other thing i can try (sigh) is to flip the USB-C side of the connection to see if the other set of conductors on the USB-C side is better
