I failed today. I let my anxiety win and didn't attend an event I had registered for. I even took a sick day from work because I just wanted to hide.
I wanted to wear my "Trans Lives Matter" pin today to this event. I don't know what scared me more. Going to the event with all those people or wearing a pin.
So I hid in the comfort of my apartment and my screens.
Guess I'll wear that pin tomorrow and every day after that. Because trans lives matter. Every single day of the year.
And I'm trans.

@jacobyaudio@techhub.social You didn’t fail, you prioritized vital self-care over activism. You said it yourself, trans lives matter and you’re trans, so YOU matter! You will do the things you can do moving forward, and make a difference. This time was your opportunity to make a difference for yourself, and you did what you had to do.
