For trans day of visibility, I remembered an incident that happened to a friend of a friend. It involves an older teen struggling and feeling lonely and parents who are trying to be supportive but do not know how. This teen is trans. A good tool to have on hand is knowing your local, state and national trans and queer resources. We have a citywide queer association, and they are the doorway to resources that can help teens and adults or hold an array of social events. 1/2 #TransDayOfVisiblity

This is an example of what you might be able to find in your area: https://salemcapitalpride.org/support-groups/ Also, for anyone like me who has a binder they bought, and it didn't get used heavily, there are places to send them to donate. Non-binder wearing people can also buy binders for other folk by donating to the charities listed in the link. https://trans-resource.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_binder_charities_in_the_United_States #lgbtq 2/2
