Does anyone have experience migrating fediverse instances from one server software to another? I’d like to move mine from mastodon itself to snac2, but I want to keep my followers and so forth intact. Is that actually possible?

@kevin The general advice is not to change software on the same domain. Instead you install the software on another domain (could be a subdomain) and then migrate your account. If you do try reusing the domain, you need to keep the same signing key or remote servers will reject messages from your server. Not sure if there are other obstacles.
