One of the grimmest aspects of the war in Iran is the undercutting and betrayal by Trump and Netanyahu of those Iranians brave enough to protest against the ruling regime.
The bombing and the bloodthirsty rhetoric emanating from Washington have been a propaganda gift to the rulers in Tehran, being used unfairly but fatally -- I use that word deliberately -- to discredit the protesters.
Don't expect this disgusting behaviour to be forgiven or forgotten any time soon.

@jemmesedi Boston Review held an excellent recent webinar which examined the need for Western progressives and humanists to combine their condemnation of imperial violence directed at Iran with principled support for Iranian civil society movements, eschewing vulgar campism. I particularly appreciated the excellent interventions of the always wonderful Manijeh Moradian of the feminists4jina collective. full transcript & video replay here: https://www.bostonreview.net/articles/the-war-on-iran-a-conversation/
