@whangdoodler if you want Devs to use semantic CSS I would not use the wcag as an argument. As far as I recall it contains nothing related to that level of style customisation beyond setting global font/text styles. I would focus on advocating for e.g. BEM and technologies/CSS organisation patterns that avoid class name soup. Edit: @mugentoki (I had intended to reply to you)

    @Isofruit I did not use WCAG as an argument, but do agree with you that we need to find the right carrots to entice devs to do things the right way.

    @Isofruit@mastodon.social You are absolutely right and I mostly agree with you. I probably misread it. However, CSS has to do with WCAG, as some assisting tools have the ability to change colours, sizes and so on. So semantic CSS could (or probably should) help a lot to properly use those tools.
