@marisa Electric guitars are fun! You can spend a lot or a little. A great starter electric at an affordable price is the Stratocaster. Fender makes the original, but those can be expensive, so look for Squier Stratocasters or similar. You will need an amp for it to truly make noise. Those are more expensive, but don’t get the tiny cheap ones, it will make your guitar sound like crap. Head to your local music store and ask them for recommendations within your budget. Bonus: learn the G, C, and D chords first and you will be able to play power pop and most any Neil Young song!
