@haubles I think the broader issue is the metrics journalists are used to versus what they can get here. I think that gets lost in trying to get people onto Mastodon. If people are here for metrics related to clicks and views, I don't think they understand Mastodon... Or the implicit faustian bargain they are unknowingly propagating because they don't have other metrics. This is not apples and oranges. This is apples and Mastodons. 🙃
