Its two weeks until Linuxfest northwest 2026, and I still haven't written my talk. I've started writing, but I'm less than a quarter of the way through writing a first draft I'm not anxious about the writing process itself though What I'm anxious about is the actually giving the talk... Showing up in front of an audience of uncertain quantity and speaking aloud for 30 minutes is scary I've never done any sort of presentation that long And my experiences with presenting include me sometimes being unable to speak aloud for a portion of the scheduled time of those presentations If I'm going to do this talk, I need to have a plan for if I can't speak in the moment. What would be a good backup plan for if I can't speak during the presentation time?
