@GhostOnTheHalfShell@masto.ai @vij@sfba.social maybe more importantly for iran and a few other countries with a lot of energy resources and a lot of sanctions (*cough* russia *cough*) bitcoin provides a way to turn energy directly into money (you burn the oil to power the bitcoin mines)
