"Smart home" this and "Intelligent switch" that, like it's something new? Fiddleflap! Decades ago, heavy-duty switches like the one in the pic were ubiquitous. You operated a switch like this, you really _knew_ it, and so did everyone else in the vicinity. You could feel it, you could hear it, and that's what made 'em smart: they had snap-tick function.
