@GlitchGhost newvicon tubes are a fascinating, but obsolete, piece of technology. They functioned in a similar manner to the cathode-ray tubes found in older televisions and monitors, but instead of producing images for display, they were able to record them. They produce a unique, soft dream-like image and will often "ghost and trail" bright objects or light as the camera is moved. This clip was recorded directly to a VHS tape and then re-captured through OBS on a computer using an HDMI upscaler.
