A group walk left me feeling quite annoyed today and a bit upset. I will be trying to avoid a certain individual from now on, and I certainly won't discuss politics with him. It started out with him saying that the government takes too much in tax, and inheritance tax was unfair. I told him that I disagreed, I thought that in principle inheritance tax is a good tax especially withe the generous free allowance. Why should someone with rich parents not be taxed for just getting money when someone earning it would. I said that personally I'd prefer to live in a world where my children, and everyone's children, could afford a house and reasonable standard of living without my help and be taxed more. continued ...
