Very tangentially related to Good Friday: when I was a teen, there was a mentally ill woman who would often stand in front of local grocery stores and proclaim that "Friday is great! God will come on Friday!". That was curiously at odds with the Christian concept of Friday as the day when Jesus died and Sunday as the day when he came back. One could imagine her being influenced by Islam where Friday is a day of prayer but she never made any references to Allah or any Islamic terms in her "sermons". Or maybe she took the usually tongue-in-cheek "Thank God it's Friday" to a truly religious level—such a cult could become popular among office workers, were she more relatable to them...
