#BoycotBigTech – Und der nächste Mittelfinger, den Big Tech, hier: Bezos' Amazon, seinen Kund*innen lachend ins Gesicht hält:
„Du hast einen Kindle von 2012 oder früher? Tja, Pech für dich. Neue eBooks kaufen, runterladen etc. ist ab 20. Mai nicht mehr. Und versucht gar nicht erst, das via 'Reset to factory default' zu umgehen, das wird ganz zufällig nicht nicht nur nicht klappen, sondern... findet es gern selbst heraus 😇. Könnt ja neu kaufen 🤑“

Amazon is »discontinuing support for Kindle ereaders and Fire table[t]s released in 2012 or earlier. You can still read books you’ve already downloaded on those devices, but you’ll no longer be able to purchase, borrow or download new ones, starting on May 20, 2026. In addition, if the device has an issue that can only be solved by a factory reset, doing so will brick it. Deregestering it will also render it unusable.« Quelle im Ausgangs-Toot.
