honestly my favourite 'kind' of games is the "same save for single player and multiplayer". where it's a game with long term progression that you can play like a normal single player offline game, then you can also join an online lobby and play with other people with the same character (say, drg, no man's sky, atlyss, etc) it's such a convenient system. if I feel like playing alone it I can do like any single player game (no logins or caring about server uptime) then if I want to play it with people I can just do that with a button and use/show off the stuff I got when offline, and keep the stuff I got while playing with others, and so on
