had a helpful meeting with someone from the accessibility team today, to discuss applications for accomodation, and think about how the area that i work in could offer accomodation (the only accessibility-related things anyone's ever asked us for was postponing meetings or larger print, so we have no real experience with our field).
called my boss to tell her and she basically kept saying she found our coworker, who's disabled, "inspiring" and her advocacy "touching".

+ and just: people are so stingy. last week, with regards to my meeting, my boss said "not to offer too much" and "not to mention all our ideas", and "not to guarantee anything". karen, i 1. want to know how things are working right now, and 2. want to find out how we can support people who ask for support. similar thing with other coworkers. this isn't a question of merit, damnit.
