@Vivaldi @jon @oskar Yes... indeed. But it's just Google that crippled a perfectly functional Linux into a locked-down Android who says : "Look at what you can do with your pocket computer !" 😒 Of course we can do that... if Google had not crippled Linux in the first place.

@Vivaldi @jon @oskar I have never used a dock and so I was initially puzzled by watching, at around the 3:00 minute mark, the display of an Android window (with green background) with a Vivaldi window open inside. After plugging in the dock (and the phone in the dock), what would a Linux user need to do get that Android window? And would all this work if I used an Android tablet instead of a phone? And, roughly speaking, how old could the phone/tablet be?

@Vivaldi @jon @oskar My main concern is that these new Android laptops will not have standardized bootloaders like Android phones and Chromebooks which use their own bootloaders. I should be able to use my Chromebook I bought years back for high school as a small Linux server. It is collecting dust because chromeOS doesn't meet my needs anymore.

@Vivaldi no need to imagine, just run vivaldi android on a Chromebook.. been doing this for years (looking forward to improvements! Eg. could we get a longer list of "last open tabs" please? 5 looks silly in the available screen space! )

@Vivaldi @jon @oskar I've already tried Vivaldi on the new desktop mode. With the tabs at the top and the overall performance, it actually feels a lot like a browser you'd expect on the desktop. Thumbs up!

@Vivaldi I can say this is a very effective tool for my android tablet, it works like a champ, everything I put all-in on Vivaldi needless to install apps to avoid of leaking data through their proxy. So wow, keep moving guys ✊ Some guys look at my tablet and ask "How can you do that, do this without apps installation?" 🤭 Thank you Vivaldi team
