I had this solarpunk daydream of a future where people make big atmospheric waste collection hot air balloons and that there's a global day of direct action where the balloons get launched all over the world to go up, catch space junk and bring it back down to earth as the sun sets the sky gets lit up with all the balloons burning up as they fall back to earth with their space junk entangled. and then once the burning is done, the stars are just a little bit brighter once more <3 Idk anything about atmosphere science or if a balloon could get up that high but it's a nice dream to hold in the face of the sad reality we are entering into of increasing satellite pollution.
